Hi my name is Talyn

Hi, I’m Talyn, and I’m a dog blogger.

I need to help of my human mum to write my adventures, but I love sharing them with the world.

I like to sniff out the best places and rate them on all sorts of things such as how dog friendly it is, and whether everyone can enjoy it.

My mum is disabled so we make sure it's disabled friendly as well.

You know how some people rate things out of five?

Well, I rate them out of six.  That’s because where dogs usually have five toes on each foot, I have six toes!  No, I’m not a superpowered mutant; I'm a Norwegian Lundehund.

My big ears hear you say “a what?”

I’m a super rare breed, so if you have heard of me, I will be VERY impressed.  (Unless you are Norwegian, then you get no points)

You can learn more about my breed here:

What is a Norwegian Lundehund?

I am a family pet, and my family is a strange bunch.  We like to travel (who doesn't?) but we have to sniff out the best places as for the moment my mum is disabled. Hopefully she will be better soon, but we are always on the lookout for places where she can take her wheelchair.

My humans also do these things called “re-enactment shows”.

I listened very carefully, and it seems to be that you learn all about living in the past and teach other people about it too.  My family live like Vikings or Anglo-Saxons for a weekend, in castles and all kinds of exciting places. I am very much looking forward to going to one of these shows so that I can tell people all about being a real authentic Viking dog!

My humans also go into schools to teach children about history, all throughout the UK.  This all started with Vikings and Anglo Saxons but has now grown, and they have everyone from Stone Age people to WWII. If you are interested, please check it out here!
