Enjoyable for everyone!

On my very first visit we didn't know what to expect. With my mum being disabled and bound to her mobility scooter it isn't easy to find a place that suits. Where is I can go anywhere! she unfortunately can't. Sometimes a website will tell you one thing, but when you get there you find another! Not here, this place is pawfect for people like my mum who want to come out and enjoy the day.

Different trails

There are 5 walking trails

Beech trail (5km) Moderate grade

Fir trail (5km) Moderate grade

Heritage trail (1km or the 3km) Accessible for everyone

Nature trail (1.5km) Accessible for everyone

Pine trail (1.5km) Accessible for everyone

It's even great for cat's.... yes you heard that correctly. Cats. Let me explain

I know cat's and dogs should be enemies, right? Not me and my best friend Jormi. He comes on walks with us, and he certainly enjoyed it here. I do advice, if you have a cat that does come out on the lead to visit during the week, and not the weekend. When Jormi comes out with us we always carry a cat bag, just in case it get's a little bit overwhelming he can still enjoy the walk but be safe and snuggly

Final verdict

With so many activities to do and so many trails to explore, it really is a great place to visit.

Plenty of parking and even for families with no dogs there are a ton of activities to do. The only thing that might be a downside for people is that you need to pay for parking.

Do keep in mind the money does go to the upkeep of the forest. That is the only negative thing I can think of. Saying that though I give High Lodge 6 toes out of 6!
